my works on skin explores the issue of modern world and human freedom
Freedom is the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint. I depict freedom In my painting through uncovered/naked human bodies, The animal skin as one of the strong and durable materials portrays freedom from being restricted in time and space. Humans living in the modern world, we have lost our spiritual, emotional and physical freedom to act, speak and think the way we want to. We always try and cover our imperfections, weaknesses and avoid being in a vulnerable positions. The modern world took all the freedom away from humanity as a result I have so much belief and things that makes me who I am that I am trying to cover and hide from the rest of the world.
